These are a few of my favorite things…

Kendrick Lamar

Crowned the new West Coast King, Kendrick is my favorite rapper to come out in years. good kid m.A.A.D city is one of the best albums released in the last ten years (in my opinion).

Naruto!

The Naruto Series, beginning with Naruto, and now continued in Naruto Shippuden, was one of my first anime/manga experiences.  Though there have been very many more loves in my life, this series has the distinction of being my first – the one who awakened my feelings of affection for it’s genre.  Themes of friendship, love, betrayal, and the quest to save those who mean the most to us from themselves pull on the heartstrings, and a never ending list of jutsus and mega ninja battles keeps the blood pumping.  Sure, the producers have a weird obsession with filler episodes (there’s a reason most shows take extended breaks in the middle of the season, apparently), but if you have a patient heart, you can’t help but love this classic.

Harry Potter

I’m assuming no explanation is needed.  Harry Potter is one of my favorite stories.  Ever.  And I especially love Draco Malfoy and Severus Snape.   Part of my weird villain fetish.

Elfen Lied

I LOVED this anime.  It made me laugh, cry, and feel all sorts of stressed out.  One of my first forays into the anime/manga world, and I still have trouble finding others that measure up.

Clique by Kanye with Big Sean and Jay Z

Yeah, just listen.

The Hollows, by Kim Harrison

These books are action packed, fun, and have the sort of deep character development that makes my heart sing.  If you can look past the silly cover art and descriptions on the cover, you should most definitely check this series out.  The first book in the series is Dead Witch Walking, and she is currently working on number 11.

Darker Than Black:  Kuro no Keiyakusha (The black contractor)

This anime is an action packed, people-getting-cut-in-half adventure. It also has all of that drama that I love to see in an anime. Quirky characters and stories of redemption abound, and plenty of villains who are not really so bad run wild in this series animated by Bones.

In this series directed by Tensai Okamura, Tokyo is forever altered by something called Hell’s Gate, which appeared mysteriously 10 years prior to the story and changed the landscape.  It even took away the stars, which are now replaced by fake stars. Contractors are men and women who, for a price, are tied to these stars and recieve super natural powers.  Meet Hei, the only contractor who seems to not have to pay a toll for his abilities. Of course, we find out that he payed quite a large price for his manipulation of electricity. What was that price?  Well, you’ll just have to watch and find out. :P

Takumi Fujiwara is just a normal high school kid who helps his dad out at the family business by delivering tofu to Lake Akina at 5am every morning in his AE86. Apparently driving a mountain pass as fast as you can while trying not to maim tofu every morning for 5 years is a sure way to become one of the top street racers in Japan. Despite owning newer cars and priding themselves as some of the best drifters out there, no one can beat this kid in his 1983 Toyota. And to make it worse, Takumi acts pretty unconcerned with the whole thing. It’s this attitude that endears him to me, however, and I spent a lot of evenings wringing my hands and praying that he would win another race. Sure there’s no dragons, swords, ninjas or elves, but there’s drifting…and drifting is cool!

Hey Cookiemunsturrr, I think you would definitely look good as Itachi, your hair is pfreect for it too.As a side note: I used to have facial piercings, did you know you can get clear jewelery that’s pretty much invisible unless you look way up close? You should be able to find them online, though the clear ones I found were a larger gauge than what I’d normally wear, which was somewhat painful, so make sure you check the size XD
